Job Description: Sales Consultant (Acquisition)Role


Education Qualification: Graduate (any stream); Commerce background preferred


Summary: As a Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in acquiring new customers for TallyPrime. This involves identifying and reaching out to potential customers, generating leads, conducting product demonstrations, and closing sales. You are the face of Tally on the ground—interacting with business owners, understanding their business needs, and recommending the right TallyPrime solution. This is a B2B role that requires trust-building, consultative selling, and smooth customer onboarding.

 

Key Responsibilities:      


Lead Generation & Market Scouting:

Identify new business owners through field visits, referrals, cold calls, and local events.

Actively explore the market and spot opportunities to connect with potential customers.

Connect with existing customers and influencers regularly to generate a referral lead pipeline.

     

Customer Engagement & Product Demo:

Talk to customers to understand their business and challenges.

Show how TallyPrime can help them using personalized demos.

Address customer queries during or after the demo.

     

Sales Closure & Post-Sales Coordination:

Handle customer concerns or objections confidently.

Close the sale and coordinate with the team for billing, implementation, and follow-ups.

 

Influencer Engagement:

Connect with Chartered Accountants (CAs), GST Practitioners, or business groups who

guide buying decisions.


Event Participation:

Invite prospects and attend online or offline events to increase awareness and

engagement.

     

Lead Management:

Enter customer data and track lead progress using the Tally Track (TT2.0) portal.

Follow up with prospects until closure.

   

Sales Planning:

Plan daily and weekly field visits.

Ensure targets are met by managing time and leads efficiently.
