Destination Expert – Role Overview for New Hires
As a Destination Expert, your job is to help clients choose the best travel experience by using your destination knowledge, communication skills, and ability to create customized travel packages.
This role involves speaking with customers, explaining destinations, preparing quotations, and finalizing travel packages based on the client’s budget.
What You Will Do (Your Responsibilities)
1. Talk to Clients
Call and communicate with customers who are interested in traveling.
Understand their travel dates, budget, destination preferences, and expectations.
Maintain a friendly, helpful, and professional tone.
2. Explain the Destination
Provide complete information about the destination:
Best time to visit
Weather
Main attractions
Activities
Culture & food
Hotels and sightseeing options
Help clients choose the best location based on their needs.
3. Prepare Customized Quotations
Create travel packages based on the client’s budget and requirements.
Select suitable hotels, sightseeing activities, and transportation options.
Make sure the quotation is accurate, clear, attractive, and within budget.
4. Present & Modify the Package
Share the quotation with the client.
Make changes if the client asks for adjustments.
Explain inclusions, exclusions, terms, and conditions clearly.
5. Confirm the Package
Once the client agrees, finalize the booking.
Coordinate with suppliers/hotels for availability and best rates.
Ensure all booking details are correct before confirming to the client.
6. Customer Support
Provide support before the trip (documents, confirmations).
Assist customers during the trip if they face any issues.
Ask for feedback after the tour is completed.
7. Maintain Records
Keep track of all leads, quotations, and bookings.
Update destination knowledge regularly.
Report your daily/weekly progress to management.
Skills Required
Good communication skills
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to understand customer needs
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Knowledge of travel destinations (training will be provided)
