Job Description

Position Title: Sales Promoter

Department: Sales / Marketing

Location: Bangalore

Reporting To: Sales Supervisor / Territory Manager

 

Role Summary

 

The Sales Promoter is responsible for driving product awareness, generating sales, and delivering an excellent customer experience at assigned stores/outlets. This role focuses on product demonstration, customer engagement, brand visibility, and achieving daily/weekly sales targets.

 

*Key Responsibilities

 

1. Sales & Target Achievement

* Actively promote and sell products at retail outlets, kiosks, or events.

* Achieve assigned sales targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

* Convert walk-in customers through effective product presentation and persuasion.

 

2. Customer Engagement

* Approach customers proactively and explain product features, benefits, and pricing.

* Resolve customer queries and guide them in the purchase decision.

* Maintain a positive and professional customer experience at all times.

 

3. Product Knowledge & Demonstration

* Demonstrate products effectively to highlight USPs and value.

* Stay updated on new launches, offers, and competitor products.

* Provide accurate information about product performance, warranty, and usage.

 

4. Merchandising & Brand Visibility

* Ensure attractive product display and proper stocking.

* Maintain planogram standards, signage, and promotional materials.

* Coordinate with the brand team for in-store marketing activities.

 

5. Reporting & Coordination

* Share daily sales reports, footfall insights, and customer feedback.

* Coordinate with store staff and supervisors for smooth execution.

* Report issues related to stock, visibility, or competition.

 

 

*Required Skills & Qualifications

* 12th Pass / Graduate/ Ideal Diploma holder from hospitality, culinary arts or F&B (IHM, other hotel management institutes) preferred.

* 1 –3 years of experience in consumer durables sales, in-store promotion, or customer service.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to convince customers and close sales confidently.

* Presentable, energetic, and customer-focused personality.

* Willingness to work in rotating shifts, weekends, and retail hours.
