SCM Engineer

Key Responsibilities: 

• Procurement & Sourcing 

Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for electrical, electronic, and mechanical components used in industrial automation projects. 

Negotiate with vendors to achieve optimal cost, quality, and lead time. 

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies. 

• Planning & Inventory Management 

Coordinate with project and production teams for material planning based on BOM (Bill of Materials) and project timelines. 

Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock. 

Monitor lead times and ensure on-time availability of critical items. 

• Logistics & Coordination 

Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including customs clearance (if applicable), freight forwarding, and vendor delivery tracking. 

Collaborate with internal teams (Design, Projects, Production, QA) to ensure alignment on delivery schedules. 

• Vendor Management & Quality 

Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations. 

Coordinate with the Quality team to resolve supplier quality issues. 

Develop alternate sources for critical items to minimize risk. 

• Process Improvement 

Implement best practices in supply chain operations to reduce cost and improve efficiency. 

Support ERP/MRP system usage for SCM activities.
