Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aluminium Scrap Purchase professional responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle of aluminium and non-ferrous scrap. The candidate must possess strong knowledge of aluminium grades and alloys, understand market pricing trends, and demonstrate excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Sourcing
Source aluminium scrap ( Tense, Taint Tabor, Boring, Extrusion scrap, etc.) and other non-ferrous metals.
Identify and develop new scrap suppliers across local and national markets.
Ensure consistent and timely availability of raw materials to support uninterrupted production.
Manage the entire procurement cycle from inquiry to delivery and payment coordination.
2. Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of aluminium grades and alloys (e.g., ADC12, LM series, etc.).
Ability to evaluate scrap quality and suitability for alloy ingot production.
Monitor recovery rates, contamination levels, and cost impact.
Coordinate with production and quality teams for material approval.
3. Market Intelligence & Pricing
Track daily aluminium scrap price movements (LME trends, domestic market fluctuations, regional scrap rates).
Analyze pricing patterns and forecast short-term market trends.
Ensure competitive procurement pricing while protecting company margins.
Maintain database of market rates and supplier quotations.
4. Negotiation & Supplier Management
Conduct strong and strategic negotiations to secure favorable pricing and payment terms.
Build long-term relationships with suppliers and aggregators.
Prevent and resolve conflicts with suppliers professionally.
Ensure transparency and trust in all supplier dealings.
5. Logistics & Coordination
Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules.
Ensure timely inward of materials to avoid production delays.
Monitor dispatch, weighment, and unloading processes.
Maintain procurement documentation and compliance records.
6. Reporting & Cost Control
Prepare purchase reports, price comparison sheets, and procurement MIS.
Analyze purchase cost vs. production output efficiency.
Work closely with accounts for reconciliation and payment planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
3–8+ years experience in aluminium scrap / non-ferrous metal procurement.
Strong knowledge of aluminium alloys and scrap grading.
Deep understanding of market pricing trends and fluctuations.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
Ability to manage supplier relationships professionally and avoid conflicts.
