Job Description
- Security Supervisor – Job Responsibilities (Cartus Site)
- 1. Team Supervision & DeploymentSupervise and manage all security personnel deployed at the Cartus office.
- Ensure proper shift allocation, attendance, grooming, and discipline of guards.
- Conduct daily briefings and ensure all posts are manned as per deployment plan.
- 2. Access Control & Visitor ManagementEnsure strict implementation of access control procedures for employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Monitor visitor registration system and verify approvals before entry.
- Prevent unauthorized access and ensure ID badge compliance.
- 3. Material Movement ControlVerify all inward and outward material movements with proper gate passes and approvals.
- Maintain and monitor material movement registers.
- Prevent pilferage, theft, or unauthorized removal of company assets.
- 4. Surveillance & Incident MonitoringMonitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activity immediately.
- Conduct regular patrolling of the premises including critical areas.
- Ensure all security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) are functional.
- 5. Incident Handling & ReportingAct as first responder for all security-related incidents.
- Investigate and document incidents, prepare reports, and escalate to management.
- Coordinate with local authorities (police, fire) when required.
- 6. Compliance & DocumentationMaintain all statutory and site-specific registers (Visitor, Material, Incident, Key Register, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to client SOPs, company policies, and statutory regulations.
- Support audits and inspections with proper documentation.
- 7. Safety & Emergency ResponseEnsure awareness of fire safety systems and emergency procedures.
- Lead evacuation during emergencies and coordinate with ERT team.
- Conduct mock drills and ensure readiness for fire and other emergencies.
- 8. Client CoordinationAct as the primary point of contact for client security-related matters.
- Address client concerns promptly and ensure high service standards.
- Share daily/weekly reports as required.
- 9. Training & DevelopmentTrain guards on site-specific SOPs, emergency procedures, and soft skills.
- Ensure continuous improvement in performance and alertness.
- 10. Asset Protection & Risk PreventionIdentify potential risks and suggest preventive measures.
- Ensure security of company assets, employees, and information.
