Job Summary: Join our rapidly growing agricultural enterprise, dedicated to transforming the distribution and management of high-quality fruits and vegetables. We are actively seeking a dynamic and seasoned Senior Accounting Executive to support our operations in Bengaluru. This individual will primarily manage accounts using Zoho Books, focusing on accurate bookkeeping, maintaining financial records, handling invoices, tracking expenses, and ensuring timely data entry to support the company’s financial accuracy and compliance.

Description/Responsibilities: As an Accounting Executive at Fresh Platter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and smooth operation of our businesses. Your responsibilities will include:

1.       Bookkeeping and Financial Records

a.     Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all financial transactions in Zoho Books.

b.     Record day-to-day financial data, including income, expenses, and journal entries.

Ensure proper categorization and coding of transactions for accurate reporting.

 

2.     Invoice Management

a.     Generate, process, and track customer invoices.

b.     Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receipts.

c.     Follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections.

 

3.     Expense Tracking

a.     Monitor and record all business expenses, ensuring they are properly documented and categorized.

b.     Reconcile credit card statements, employee reimbursements, and petty cash transactions.

 

4.     Account Reconciliation

a.     Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

b.     Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.

 

5.     Compliance Support

a.     Collaborate with external Chartered Accountants (CAs) for compliance-related tasks, such as tax filings and audits.

b.     Ensure all financial records are organized and accessible for external professionals handling compliance.

 

6.     MIS Reporting Assistance

a.     Prepare and organize financial data from Zoho Books for review by external professionals who will handle the creation of MIS reports.

b.     Ensure accurate and complete data is available for decision-making and reporting.

 

7.      Documentation and Filing

a.     Maintain organized and accessible financial documents to support audits and compliance requirements.

b.     Assist in preparing necessary documentation as requested by external professionals.

 

8.     System and Process Optimization

a.     Leverage Zoho Books’ features to streamline processes and improve efficiency in bookkeeping activities.

b.     Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in bookkeeping.

 

9.     Coordination with Internal Teams

a.     Work closely with procurement, sales, and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy across departments.

b.     Support the team by addressing ad-hoc queries related to accounts and finances.

 

Qualifications:

1.       Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

2.     A minimum of 2 years' experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably within the fruits & vegetables (F&V) industry.

3.     Expertise in using financial and inventory management software - Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory would be beneficial.

4.     Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

5.     Passion and commitment to Fresh Platter's mission of delivering sustainable, high-quality food experiences.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

1.       Excellent communication skills in Kannada, Hindi, and English.

2.     Basic conversational skills in Telugu and Tamil would be beneficial.

3.     Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.

1.       Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

2.     Resilience in handling challenges and adapting strategies to changing circumstances.
