Job Summary

Soham is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant with 2–5 years of experience to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance, and support financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience with Indian accounting and taxation practices.

Key Responsibilities

·       Maintain books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations

·       Handle accounts payable and receivable

·       Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

·       Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations

·       Ensure timely filing and compliance of GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements

·       Assist in preparation of MIS reports and financial analysis

·       Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits

·       Maintain proper documentation and accounting records

·       Support finance team in budgeting and cost control activities

·       Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Required Skills & Competencies

·       Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

·       Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic direct taxation

·       Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / ERP systems preferred)

·       Good command over MS Excel and basic MS Office tools

·       High attention to detail and accuracy

·       Good organizational and time management skills

·       Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com) – Mandatory

·       Master’s degree in Commerce (M. Com) – Preferred

·       5-7 years of relevant accounting experience

Preferred Attributes

·       Experience in handling audits and statutory compliances

·       Exposure to multi-entity or group accounting is an advantage

·       Strong communication and coordination skills
