Senior Accountant(Zoho Books)

Purpose :

Own day-to-day accounting and month-end closure in Zoho Books. Ensure clean books, strong controls, audit readiness, and zero surprises. This role is the backbone of finance hygiene.

Responsibilities

1.Accounting & Month-End Closure

• Maintain accurate books in Zoho Books
• Ensure correct posting of sales, purchases, expenses & inventory
• Own month-end close by T+5
• Maintain clean, reconciled balance sheet schedules

2. Bank, Ledger & Reconciliations

• Perform regular bank reconciliations
• Reconcile customer, vendor & advance ledgers
• Resolve mismatches with AR, AP & Ops teams

3. Inventory Accounting

• Ensure accurate inventory movement & valuation (FIFO)
• Coordinate GRNs, stock adjustments & damaged goods accounting
• Support physical & cycle stock reconciliations

4. GST, TDS & Statutory Support

• Prepare data for GST, TDS, PF & ESI filings
• Coordinate with CA firm
• Ensure GST reconciliations (GSTR-1 vs 3B)
• Handle basic internal GST queries

5. Payroll & Employee Accounting

• Prepare payroll data
• Book salaries, reimbursements & deductions
• Coordinate statutory payroll compliances

6. Audit & MIS Support

• Prepare schedules & working papers for audits & diligence
• Support MIS preparation
• Maintain documentation & audit trail

7. Controls & Discipline

• Follow maker–checker controls strictly
• Maintain customer/vendor masters with approvals
• No unsupported or backdated entries
• Proactively flag data or control gaps

8.Systems

• Zoho Books (hands-on, mandatory)
• Excel / Google Sheets (intermediate–advanced)
• Zoho Inventory (good to have)

Requirements

• 4–7 years accounting experience
• Strong Zoho Books exposure
• Experience in inventory-heavy / trading / distributor setups
• Solid GST & TDS understanding
• Process-driven, detail-oriented
