Role Overview

The Senior Advocate – Real Estate will primarily handle non-litigation legal matters related to real estate projects, including land acquisition, title due diligence, drafting and vetting of property documents, regulatory compliance, and advisory support to management and internal teams. Litigation exposure, if any, will be limited and supervisory in nature.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle non-litigation real estate legal work, including land acquisition and property transactions
• Conduct title due diligence, legal scrutiny of property documents, and issue legal opinions
• Draft, review, and vet sale deeds, lease deeds, joint development agreements, MOUs, POAs, and related documents
• Ensure compliance with RERA, land revenue laws, stamp duty, and registration regulations
• Liaise with registration authorities, revenue offices, and government departments
• Coordinate with external advocates for litigation matters, when required
• Advise management on legal risks and compliance for ongoing and upcoming projects
• Maintain proper records of property documents, agreements, and legal files
• Support internal teams (Sales, CRM, Projects, Accounts) on legal and documentation aspects

Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in property law, real estate documentation, and compliance
• Excellent drafting, vetting, and negotiation skills
• Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks with limited litigation exposure
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines
• High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

Qualification

• LLB / LLM from a recognized university
• Enrolled with the State Bar Council
