Senior Mechanic

Experience Required: Minimum 15 years total | Minimum 4 years continuous in a multi-brand car workshop

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Mechanic who can fully run and manage all technical work in our car service workshop. You must be able to work independently — no supervisor or senior will guide you on technical matters. You will be the top technical person in the workshop.

What You Will Do

• Diagnose and repair all types of car problems — engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, AC, electrical, and more
• Handle multiple car brands confidently (e.g. Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Honda, Ford, Toyota, etc.)
• Plan and organise daily job cards and repair work in the workshop
• Guide and supervise junior mechanics and helpers
• Check quality of all repair and service work before handing car back to customer
• Manage tools, equipment, and workshop safety
• Talk to customers or service advisors to explain technical issues in simple language
• Order or identify spare parts needed for repairs
• Ensure all work is done on time and correctly — first time

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 15 years of total experience as a mechanic in car servicing and repairs
• Minimum 4 years continuous (unbroken) experience in a multi-brand car workshop — single company, no gaps
• Must be fully independent — able to handle any technical situation without guidance from anyone
• Strong knowledge of both petrol and diesel cars
• Able to use computerised diagnostic tools (scanner, OBDII, etc.)
• ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering preferred — but strong experience is more important
• Basic reading and writing ability to handle job cards and service records

• You have job gaps or have switched workshops frequently
• Your total experience is below 15 years
