Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

 

Location: Plant Site – Soham Renewable Energy

Qualification: B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering  

Experience: 3–5 years

Languages: Kannada, English, and Hindi

 

About the Role:

 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our operations team at Soham Renewable Energy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing the mechanical components and systems used in renewable energy plants. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and servicing of all mechanical equipment and components.

·        Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, and execute corrective actions to minimize downtime.

·        Oversee installation, calibration, and alignment of mechanical systems and machinery.

·        Ensure smooth functioning of turbines, pumps, valves, compressors, and other mechanical systems used in renewable energy processes.

·        Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance as per the maintenance schedule.

·        Maintain maintenance logs, service reports, and mechanical drawings/documentation.

·        Collaborate with the electrical and operations teams to ensure optimal plant performance.

·        Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational procedures.

·        Monitor machine performance parameters and recommend improvements for reliability and efficiency.

·        Coordinate with vendors and contractors for spare parts procurement and technical support.

·        Participate in system upgrades, plant modifications, and new equipment installations.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

·        3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the renewable energy, power generation, or industrial sector.

·        Strong knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, valves, bearings, and hydraulic systems.

·        Proficient in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and machine repair.

·        Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

·        Good communication and team collaboration skills.

·        Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
