Job Description
Job Summary:
A Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment at client locations, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem-solving and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair various types of machinery and equipment at customer sites.
- Technical Support: Provide on-site support and troubleshooting for technical issues, ensuring optimal performance of equipment.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate complex technical information to non-technical customers in an understandable manner, fostering strong customer relationships.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with field service managers and other team members to coordinate service requests and optimize service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in engineering or a related technical field, with hands-on experience in installation and repair.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers and explain technical concepts clearly.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites and adapt to varying work environments.
Work Environment
- Field-based role with significant travel to customer locations, requiring a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Office work may be required for reporting and documentation purposes.
