Site Engineer

Position Overview

The Site Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing modular kitchen project execution at customer sites, ensuring high-quality installation, accurate measurements, and timely completion. The role requires strong technical understanding of modular furniture, coordination skills, and the ability to interpret drawings and resolve on-site challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Manage end-to-end installation of modular kitchen projects at customer sites.
• Supervise carpenters, installers, and contractors to ensure work is done as per standards.
• Ensure project timelines and quality benchmarks are met.

2. Measurement & Technical Verification

• Conduct accurate site measurements prior to installation.
• Verify dimensions against approved drawings and layouts.
• Flag discrepancies and coordinate with the design/production team for corrections.

3. Drawing Interpretation

• Read and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, and elevation diagrams.
• Ensure onsite execution aligns with approved design specifications.

4. Client Coordination & Communication

• Interact with customers during site visits and installations.
• Provide clear updates on project progress and timelines.
• Address customer queries related to installation and site readiness.

5. Material & Vendor Coordination

• Ensure timely availability of materials on site.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and vendors for delivery and replacements.
• Monitor material quality and quantity before installation begins.

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Follow and enforce safety protocols at all sites.
• Conduct quality checks for completed installation work.
• Prepare snag lists and ensure closure within timelines.

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and measurement logs.
• Document challenges, deviations, and closure status.
• Share project summary and completion report with the Project Manager.

Requirements:

• Diploma/BE in Civil, Mechanical, Interior Design, or relevant field.
• 2–5 years of experience in modular kitchen or interior project execution.
• Strong understanding of modular furniture installation.
• Ability to read technical drawings (2D/3D).
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel to multiple project sites.
