Store Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Assistant to join our team and provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. This role is essential for supporting daily store operations, maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, and contributing to the store's sales goals. 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer product questions, and provide recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
• Sales & Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, including handling cash, credit, returns, and exchanges.
• Merchandising & Stocking: Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is visually appealing and correctly priced.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor, fitting rooms (if applicable), and work areas, including performing light housekeeping duties.
• Inventory Management: Assist with receiving new shipments, organizing stock in storage areas, conducting inventory counts, and reporting stock discrepancies to management.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and the store manager to achieve daily targets and ensure smooth store operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is often preferred, but not always required for entry-level positions.
• Communication: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of customers and colleagues.
• Basic Skills: Basic math skills for handling transactions and attention to detail for managing inventory and displays.
• Work Ethic: A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate retail business hours.
