Store Assistant (Civil Deportment – Execution)

Department: Civil / Site Execution

Reports To: Store In-Charge / Site Engineer / Project Manager

Location: PAN India

Job Purpose: To assist in the management, organization, and documentation of materials, tools, and equipment at the site store, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of civil construction materials as per project and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:·  Receive, inspect, and verify incoming civil materials (cement, sand, aggregates, steel, bricks, tiles, etc.) against delivery challans and purchase orders.

·        Properly store materials to prevent damage, deterioration, or loss.

·        Maintain segregation and labeling of materials for easy identification and traceability.

·        Issue materials to site teams based on approved material requisition slips.

·        Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, and balances (manual and digital).

·        Update daily stock register and communicate shortages to Store In-Charge.

·        Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system records.

·        Assist in preparing material consumption reports for civil works.

·        Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid work delays.

·        Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and execution teams for material availability and documentation.

·        Support site engineers in maintaining material traceability for audits and quality checks.

·        Ensure safe handling of materials and adherence to site safety protocols.

·        Maintain housekeeping and orderliness in the store area.

·        Follow company policies for waste management and environmental compliance.

Key Skills & Competencies:· Knowledge of civil construction materials and their handling.

·        Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.

·        Familiarity with store management systems

·        Good communication and teamwork skills.

·        Physically fit and attentive to detail.

Qualification & Experience: Education: Minimum 10+2 / ITI / Diploma in Civil or related field.

Experience: 3–5 years of experience as Store Assistant or Store Keeper in a civil construction project.

Software: MS Excel, basic ERP or store management applications (preferred).

Performance Indicators:·        Accuracy in stock records and reporting.

·        Timely issuance and availability of materials.

·        Compliance with documentation and safety standards.

·        Audit readiness and minimal material wastage.
