Job Title: Tandoor Chef

Job Summary

The Tandoor Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Persian tandoor and grill items while maintaining the highest standards of taste, hygiene, and presentation. The role requires expertise in traditional Persian marinades, breads, and kebabs cooked in a tandoor oven.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook Persian tandoor dishes including kebabs, breads (Nan-e-Taftoon, Lavash), and grilled meats.
• Marinate meats using authentic Persian spices and techniques.
• Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all tandoor items.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimize wastage.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards as per FSSAI/HACCP guidelines.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team for smooth service during peak hours.
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff when required.
• Requirements4–7 years of experience as a Tandoor Chef in Persian, Middle Eastern, or Mughlai cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of tandoor operations and charcoal cooking.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Team-oriented with attention to detail.
