Team Leader

The Team Leader – Retail is responsible for ensuring smooth store operations, managing the team on the shop floor, delivering excellent customer service, and driving sales performance. The role involves supervising daily activities, maintaining store standards, and supporting management in achieving store targets.

• Key Responsibilities1. Store OperationsEnsure the store opens and closes as per company SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and visual merchandising standards.
• Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and shrink control.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and audit requirements.
• 2. Team ManagementSupervise and lead the store staff on a daily basis.
• Prepare staff schedules and allocate responsibilities.
• Train and motivate employees to achieve performance standards.
• Support in onboarding new team members.
• 3. Customer ServiceEnsure exceptional customer experience at all times.
• Resolve customer queries, concerns, or escalations effectively.
• Promote loyalty programs, memberships, and ongoing promotions.
• 4. Sales & PerformanceDrive store sales, conversions, and upselling.
• Monitor daily performance KPIs and ensure targets are met.
• Work closely with the Store Manager to plan sales strategies.
• 5. Reporting & CommunicationPrepare daily/weekly reports on sales, stock, and staff performance.
• Communicate updates, promotions, and SOP changes to the team.
• Coordinate with the warehouse, supply chain, and regional teams.
• Skills & QualificationsMinimum 2–4 years of retail experience (organic/health foods retail preferred).
• Prior team leader or supervisory experience in retail.
