Technical Advisor

1. Job Summary

We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Technical Advisor to join our

car service team. The role involves providing expert technical guidance on vehicle

repairs, overseeing vehicle trials, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating

seamless communication between technicians, service advisors, and customers. The

Technical Advisor will be responsible for diagnosing complex technical issues,

supporting the repair process, and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of

service jobs. This role is essential for maintaining high service standards and ensuring

customer satisfaction.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle trial tests to assess operational issues and identify necessary repairs.

• Provide technical guidance and support to technicians during the diagnosis and repair

process.

• Ensure vehicles are compliant with regulatory standards and company quality

guidelines before delivery to customers.

• Communicate technical issues, repair timelines, and service updates to service

advisors and customers.

• Verify the quality of repairs and conduct post-repair trial runs to ensure all issues are

resolved.

• Assist in root cause analysis for recurring technical problems and recommend

corrective actions.

• Stay updated with the latest industry developments, vehicle technologies, and

compliance regulations.

• Support warranty claim processes by providing accurate technical feedback and

documentation.

• Maintain accurate service records, inspection checklists, and compliance reports.

• Work closely with the Service Manager to achieve customer service targets and

ensure operational efficiency.

3. Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Diploma/ITI in Automobile Engineering or related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a Technical Advisor, Technician,

or related role in a car service company.

• Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engine, transmission,

electronics, and diagnostics.

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, scanners, and testing equipment.

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to automotive repairs and

vehicle roadworthiness.

• Shift: May require rotational shifts based on customer demands and service volume.
