Job Description

A business/personal loan telecaller is responsible for generating leads for business/personal loans through telecalling and managing the related administrative and data entry tasks. The role requires a candidate to have strong communication skills for customer interaction, as well as proficiency in computer systems for data management and reporting.  

 

• Generate leads: Identify and call potential clients from a provided database to promote business/personal loan products.

• Explain loan products: Provide potential clients with detailed information about various business/personal loan offerings, including eligibility criteria, interest rates, and the application process.

• Qualify leads: Engage with clients to understand their financial needs and determine if they meet the basic qualifications for a loan.

• Set appointments: Schedule follow-up calls or meetings for the sales or loan officers.

• Follow up: Maintain consistent communication with prospects throughout the sales pipeline to convert them into customers.

• Handle inquiries: Answer incoming calls and address customer questions and concerns professionally and efficiently.

• Negotiate and resolve issues: In some cases, handle negotiations or resolve payment-related queries with professionalism and patience.

 

• Data entry and management: Accurately enter and update customer information, loan applications, and interaction logs into a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system or other database.

• Record maintenance: Ensure that all client interactions, payment information, and follow-up activities are meticulously recorded.

• Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on call activity, lead status, and target achievements.

• Document processing: Assist in the conversion of paper documents to digital formats.

• System monitoring: Monitor computer systems for smooth operation and troubleshoot basic technical issues.

• Data integrity and security: Ensure the security and confidentiality of client data by performing regular backups and adhering to company protocols.

• General clerical work: Perform other office administrative tasks as required. 

 

Education & Skills: A higher secondary school certificate is often the preferred minimum requirement, though a degree in finance or business administration is a plus.

• Experience: Previous experience in telecalling, telesales, or data entry, preferably in the financial services sector, is highly desirable.

• Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience using a CRM system is mandatory.

• Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are crucial for data entry and record-keeping.

• Problem-solving: The ability to resolve customer inquiries and troubleshoot basic technical issues is important.
