Location: Dexterous Automation Apt, Bommasandra Industrial Area, Bangalore

Salary: ₹18,000 per month (Minimum) – Higher salary based on candidate’s experience and previous earnings.

Job SummaryThe Tool Room Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Lathe Machines and Surface Grinding Machines for manufacturing, repairing, and finishing tools, dies, and machine components. The role requires precision machining skills and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Lathe Machines to perform turning, facing, threading, and drilling operations.

• Operate Surface Grinding Machines to achieve precise surface finishing and dimensional accuracy.

• Manufacture and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and machine components as per drawings.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements.

• Maintain tolerance and dimensional accuracy during machining operations.

• Perform machine setup, tool selection, and alignment before machining operations.

• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.

• Ensure safety procedures and company policies are followed in the tool room.

• Coordinate with the production and maintenance teams when required.

• Maintain proper tool records and job completion reports.

Required Skills• Good knowledge of Lathe Machine operations

• Experience in Surface Grinding operations

• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.)

• Understanding of machining tolerances and finishing standards

• Basic machine troubleshooting skills

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Fitter / Turner / Machinist / Tool & Die Making

• Relevant technical training in tool room operations will be an advantage

Experience

• 1 – 5 years of experience in Tool Room operations

• Experience in Lathe and Surface Grinding machines is mandatory
