Vehicle Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Vehicle Technician with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial vehicles such as trucks, buses, and heavy-duty transport vehicles. The ideal candidate should be technically proficient, safety-conscious, and willing to relocate internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of commercial vehicles including trucks, buses, and fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic, and braking system issues using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, brake servicing, suspension repair, and component replacement.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and service manuals to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workshop standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Support road testing and performance evaluation after repairs.
• Work collaboratively with workshop supervisors and service advisors.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
• Knowledge of braking systems, suspension, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Ability to use automotive diagnostic tools and equipment
• Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / Certification in Automobile Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or Commercial Vehicle Technology
• 4–6 years of experience in commercial vehicle maintenance or heavy vehicle repair
• Experience with brands such as Volvo, Mercedes, MAN, Scania, Ashok Leyland, Tata, or similar is preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to relocate internationally
• Basic English communication skills
• Ability to work in shift-based workshop environments
• Valid driving license (preferred)

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working in authorized service centers or fleet maintenance companies
• Exposure to international workshop standards
• Familiarity with OEM diagnostic systems
