VFX Faculty

A VFX Faculty job involves teaching visual effects software (Nuke, Maya, Houdini, After Effects) and principles, guiding students through practical projects, building portfolios, and staying current with industry trends to prepare them for VFX careers in film/gaming, focusing on hands-on training, mentoring, and curriculum development. Key responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, providing constructive feedback, and fostering student success in creating demo reels. 

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction: Deliver engaging, hands-on training in VFX software and techniques (compositing, animation, 3D, simulation).
• Mentorship: Guide students in creating complex shots, developing strong portfolios, and building demo reels.
• Curriculum: Collaborate on curriculum design, integrate new industry tools, and update teaching methods.
• Assessment: Monitor student progress, provide constructive critiques, and evaluate assignments.
• Industry Awareness: Stay updated with the latest VFX technology, software, and industry workflows. 

Essential Skills & Experience

• Deep understanding of the VFX pipeline (film, TV, gaming).
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (Nuke, After Effects, Houdini, Maya, Blender).
• Strong creative and technical skills in digital art and visual effects.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and fostering creative talent.
• Previous teaching or relevant industry experience is often preferred
