Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, disciplined, and visionary Vice Principal to support the Principal in leading the school’s academic, administrative, and operational functions. The Vice Principal will play a key role in strengthening the school’s culture, academic quality, discipline, and overall performance.


Key Responsibilities


1. Academic Leadership


  • Assist in planning and executing the academic calendar.
  • Ensure timely syllabus completion, quality teaching, and academic excellence.
  • Supervise lesson plans, classroom teaching, and teacher performance.
  • Conduct academic audits and monitor student results closely.


2. Teacher Management & Development


  • Lead and motivate teachers, ensuring accountability and professional behavior.
  • Conduct teacher training sessions, workshops, and mentoring.
  • Handle teacher timetables, substitutions, and workload distribution.
  • Support recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff.


3. Student Discipline & Welfare


  • Maintain discipline across the school campus.
  • Handle student behavioral issues with firmness and care.
  • Oversee attendance, uniform compliance, and campus conduct.
  • Implement discipline policy consistently across all grades.


4. Administration & Operations


  • Manage day-to-day school operations in coordination with management.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of morning assembly, school timings, examinations, and events.
  • Coordinate with transport, hostel, housekeeping, and support staff.
  • Maintain safety, security, and hygiene standards across school.


5. Parent Communication & Public Relations


  • Address parent concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Lead Parent-Teacher Meetings with constructive feedback.
  • Build trust and strong relationships with the parent community.


6. Compliance & Documentation


  • Support CBSE/State Board compliance, inspections, and reporting.
  • Maintain academic and administrative records.
  • Support school in accreditation and affiliation requirements.


7. Event & Activity Management


  • Oversee school events, celebrations, competitions, and assemblies.
  • Encourage student participation in sports, cultural programs, and co-curricular activities.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education (B.Ed/M.Ed must for most boards).
  • Minimum 5–15 years of experience in teaching & academic administration.
  • Strong leadership and disciplinary skills.
  • Excellent communication (English & Kannada).
  • Experience in CBSE school environment is an added advantage.
