VMC Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Setup: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot VMC machines (e.g., milling, drilling, tapping) to manufacture parts according to blueprints.

Quality Control: Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.

Production Monitoring: Monitor machine performance, ensure proper tool offsets, and adjust settings as required to meet tolerance specifications.

Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely

Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine, basic maintenance on machines and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Documentation: Maintain production records and document, or report, any discrepancies to the supervisor

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of Revit, SolidWorks, or MicroStation is a plus).
2. Strong technical drawing and drafting skills, with a solid understanding of drafting standards, symbols, and conventions.
3. Experience with 2D and 3D modeling and rendering techniques.
4. Knowledge of industry-specific principles (e.g., architectural, mechanical, civil engineering).
5. Strong mathematical skills for calculating dimensions, angles, and material requirements.
