VMC Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities:-1. Machine Setup: Load raw materials, select/install tools, set tool offsets, and input job parameters.

2. Operation: Run the VMC machine, monitor its performance, and adjust feed/rapid rates for efficiency and finish.

3. Quality Control: Read technical drawings, inspect finished parts with measuring instruments (callipers, micrometres), and ensure they meet specifications.

4. Programming (Sometimes): Make minor edits to G-code/M-code programs for optimization.

5. Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting of the machine.

6. Safety: Maintain a clean workspace and adhere to all safety protocols. Mahadevapura Bangalore

Essential Skills:-

1. Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings/blueprints.

2. Understanding of CNC programming (G/M codes).

3. Knowledge of different cutting tools and material properties.

4. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

5. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
