VMC Programmer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop CNC programs using Siemens 828D (ShopMill / ISO G-code).
• Interpret engineering drawings and convert them into machining programs.
• Set up tools, fixtures, and work offsets (G54–G59).
• Perform tool offset setting and tool length compensation.
• Optimize feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters for improved productivity.
• Conduct trial runs and troubleshoot program errors.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are maintained.
• Maintain proper documentation of programs and revisions.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams for continuous improvement.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of G-code & M-code programming.
• Experience in ShopMill conversational programming.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, tool selection, and machining parameters.
• Understanding of machining processes (Drilling, Tapping, Pocketing, Contouring, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge).
• Experience in CAM software (optional but preferred).

Qualifications:

• Diploma khkgffvbhh / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in VMC programming using Siemens 828D.
• Experience in precision machining or manufacturing industry preferred.
