Warehouse Manager – Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Maintain optimal stock levels by placing orders only as required to minimize excess inventory and storage overheads.
• Conduct frequent cycle counts to ensure real-time inventory accuracy.
• Track inventory turnover rates to improve replenishment efficiency and reduce stock aging.
• Coordinate with suppliers to secure timely deliveries and improve lead time performance.
• Organize storage layouts for better space utilization and faster material accessibility.
• Identify and dispose of obsolete, damaged, or slow-moving stock to avoid wastage and free up warehouse space.

Warehouse Management System (WMS) Operations

• Oversee and manage the complete workflow including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Order packing and quality checks as per the requirements.
• Inspect and verify the condition and accuracy of incoming materials before storage.
• Provide clear operational instructions to warehouse staff, ensuring error-free picking and quick processing of orders.
• Ensure proper product selection, safe handling, and secure packaging prior to shipment.
• Generate and manage essential outbound documentation such as shipping labels, packing lists, and manifests.
• Effectively allocate manpower, equipment, and other operational resources based on daily workload.

Stock Audit & Control

• Maintain adequate stock levels during audits through accurate physical verification.
• Arrange and label inventory systematically for ease of identification during internal/external audits.
• Investigate discrepancies and execute corrective actions for any stock mismatches identified during audits.

Courier & Logistics Coordination

• Monitor shipment movements in real time for status visibility and route optimization.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of orders while maintaining strong relationships with courier partners for smooth flow of operations.
• Compare freight rates to control logistics cost, and manage issues related to delays, loss, or transit damages.
• Prepare shipping labels, AWBs, invoices, and required dispatch documents for seamless order processing.
• Communicate shipment status and tracking details to internal teams regularly.

Vendor Management

• Confirm purchase orders and schedule delivery timelines with suppliers.
• Follow up proactively on shipment status and escalate delays to ensure timely procurement.
• Validate receipt of goods and raise escalation for missing, damaged, or incorrect deliveries.
