The Works Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department at a car dealership. This includes managing workshop productivity, ensuring high-quality vehicle service and repair standards, supervising the technical team, maintaining customer satisfaction, and optimizing operational efficiency.

• Plan and schedule daily workshop jobs efficiently.
• Monitor workflow, technician productivity, and job allocation.
• Ensure all service, repair, and maintenance jobs are completed on time and to manufacturer standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
• Team Management:

• Lead and motivate a team of service advisors, mechanics, and technicians.
• Conduct regular training and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Customer Satisfaction:

• Ensure prompt and effective handling of customer complaints and service issues.
• Work with the front office team to manage customer expectations and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Inventory & Tools:

• Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of spare parts.
• Monitor the condition and calibration of workshop tools and equipment.
• Reporting & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate service records and workshop reports.
• Track service revenues, costs, and KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards.
• Qualifications and Experience:Diploma or Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in automotive service operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) and manufacturer service procedures.
