Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched, or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

• Gaining an understanding of the dynamics of the processes and the risk management and control framework
• Performing day-to-day functions of the operations teams and delivering high standards of client experience
• Gaining in-depth understanding of all asset classes on how they are traded, processed, and calculated.
• Analyzing large amounts of data relating to Operations processes and presenting them in a visual format that provides transparency into key risk indicators.
• Identify and mitigate risk appropriately. Ensure accuracy and high quality of work while escalating outstanding exceptions/issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Mapping out dependencies and requirements to remediate in efficiencies/risks.
• Working with other teams within the firm and key stakeholders on the idea formation and plans for process improvement.
• Implementation of projects/controls/procedures standards for the team
• Develop knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and capabilities to facilitate business, increase efficiencies, improve controls and enhance client experience.

About the program

Our Summer Analyst Program is a nine to ten week summer internship for students pursuing a bachelors / graduate degree. You will be fully immersed in our day-to-day activities.

As a participant, you will:

• Attend orientation where you’ll learn about our culture, as well as the benefits and responsibilities of being a member of the firm
• Receive training designed to help you succeed
• Have the opportunity to work on real responsibilities alongside fellow interns and our people
