Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Strategic AI Initiatives Expert to join the Application AI (CoE) Strategic Initiatives team within the Product Engineering board area. The team focuses on execution of SAP’s AI strategy and leads cross-P&E initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a team leading P&E wide execution strategic AI programs across multiple initiatives, and work cross-functionally to accelerate high-value AI use cases, and drive continuous process improvements from a project management perspective.

This position is based in India and will play a critical role in supporting the Application AI Strategy team's key initiatives, including:

• Forward Deployed Engineering – actively contributing to engineering programs and managing cross-functional processes related to cross-board and customer outcome KPIs
• Deep Research & Experience Generation AI product - supporting research programs and initiatives
• Shared AI Services – partnering for services delivery and governance programs

You will contribute to these initiatives through collaboration with P&E development teams, program governance, and strategic initiatives execution. You will also work very closely with S&O and CS&D board areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive strategic AI initiatives and program governance across Application AI, Forward Deployed Engineering, Shared AI Services initiatives in a fully self-driven way, providing thought leadership and building trusted advisor relationships with cross-functional teams
• Establish and evolve governance models and operational best practices
• Manage projects of high volume or high risk/complexity, ensuring that goals and milestones are met and approved budgets are managed appropriately
• Track project budgets, manage escalations appropriately, and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders
• Actively monitor progress, engage in technical solution delivery, manage interdependencies, and provide regular updates to stakeholders across all Application AI Strategy initiatives and relevant cross-board area stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with SAP's Board and L1 Offices on cross-functional AI strategy initiatives
• Identify and resolve potential overlaps in scope and functionality across multiple AI strategy initiatives
• Represent SAP to customers and partners on AI strategy initiatives

• Actively contribute to customer's usage and adoption of SAP's latest AI innovations across all Application AI Strategy initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience leading complex projects, particularly in AI/ML, technology strategy, product development, engineering, or research domains
• Prior management consulting or corporate strategy experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity and experience with AI/ML or LLM frameworks
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills
