Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behaviors, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to improve system stability and optimize support processes.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical and problem-solving skills.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment on issue resolution and project goals.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SUSE Linux Administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system architecture, including kernel, file systems, and process management.
- Experience with system monitoring tools and performance tuning on Linux platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to networking, storage, and security within Linux environments.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Understanding of system backup, recovery procedures, and patch management in enterprise environments.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in SUSE Linux Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
