As a Back-End Engineer, you will be an integral part of the team building the user experiences that enable our customers to harness the full potential of APA. Who you’ll report to:

Director of Engineering

Location: 

Hybrid role with regular onsite workdays in our Bangaluru, India office. 

You will make an impact by being responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and performance-oriented features using modern back-end technologies. Focusing on consistent delivery of software and systems that move the company towards achieving short and long-term objectives

• Build prototypes to explore new scenarios and optimizations of existing solutions. Work with stakeholders to perform root-cause analysis & figure out solution approaches

• Review design, code and approve solution approaches. Ability and willingness to work alone on projects in a self-directed and mature manner

• Provide career guidance and mentoring for all team members & assist manager with reviews. Translate requirements into technical solutions and seamless user experiences

• Working closely with Product Management, UX, Backend Engineers, SDET and Support organizations to deliver industry-leading features to the market.

• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices in back-end development. Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and consistency

• Driving the adoption of new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance development efficiency and code performance

• Multitask to provide needed input efficiently on Development activities

• Candidate should share knowledge across teams to foster a culture of learning and improvement

You will be a great fit if you have: 

• 12+ years of professional experience in back-end development, with a strong portfolio of work. Experience in development and architecture of cloud applications and infrastructure required

• 10+ years’ experience in designing software in a fast-paced environment is desired. Should have experience in architecting Microservices, and scalable cloud apps

• Should have good experience holistically catching/fixing memory leaks and performance tuning

• Should have good experience in open-source tech. Strong oral and written communication, with the ability to adapt to the targeted audience

• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging abilities for web applications and ability to adhere to agreed-upon timelines.

• Strong working knowledge in core Java, JEE, JSON, REST APIs like Java API for RESTful Web Services (i.e. JAX-RS, Spring, Spark Java)

• Hands-on experience with Logging (Log4j), and Unit Testing using the JUnit, TestNG using Mocking frameworks such as Mockito, EasyMock, RestAssured

• Experience working with enterprise applications using Spring and Hibernate.

• Experience working with SQL Queries and database servers like MSSQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, CDB

• Must have experience of working with version control systems like GIT, SVN etc. and build tools like Gradle and Maven, with knowledge of continuous integration and delivery

• Good command over using Data Structures especially XML, JSON operations and Processing technologies

• Should have good knowledge of Threading, Socket Programming, IPC

• Hands on in OOP, Design Patterns, TDD, IoC, DI, Knowledge of Serialization/De-serialization

• Nice to have:

  • SCM: GIT, SVN, NuGet, Nexus

  • Cloud: NoSQL, Big Data, Azure Cloud, Amazon Cloud

  • Web: MVC, Web API, Java Script, HTML, AJAX, CSS, JQuery, HTTP, HTTPS, XSLT, Spring Boot, Netflix OSS

• Understanding how to write code with the help of AI

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) platforms or automation tools and APA (Agentic Process Automation)

• Familiarity with frontend technologies

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

• Experience with testing frameworks like Playwright, Cypress
