Assistant Manager
We are recruiting for ‘Assistant Manager’ position in the Ethics and Independence team part of Quality and Risk Management (QRM) Team. In this team, you will deliver a range of process, project, and advisory activities across the Personal E&I service catalogue.
•Developing a comprehensive understanding of the FRC Ethical Standard to be able to provide advice to engagement teams on compliance with policy, and being an escalation point for the E&I team •Supporting in the Sentinel secondary approval process reviewing compliance with applicable independence requirements •Responding to RiskConnect consultations from the business, first via a triage of requests to ensure that they contain all the required information and then through applying technical knowledge learned to complete a first level review of queries or otherwise allocating to team members. •Supporting the review of independence clearances for prospective audit clients, assisting engagement teams through this complex process, and contributing meaningfully to a critical element of the audit tender process. This role involves applying technical expertise to evaluate the ongoing permissibility of non-audit services and business relationships •Partner and senior staff rotation system – assisting with the maintenance of the system and managing the workflow of mandatory consultations •Marketing and sponsorship – assist the business by answering queries on how Firm guidance should be applied in this area in a clear and concise manner. •ISQM1 – supporting with compliance activities under ISQM1 •Project manage and oversee routine process and monitoring tasks that have been delegated to the offshore team •Training/Communication – supporting the team on initiatives to increase awareness and drafting communications and guidance •Projects - supporting the wider team on various projects and initiatives to enhance our processes and overall compliance with the FRC and other relevant ethical standardsSkill and Development
