Assistant Manager (HRT + Payroll)
Job Summary:Position: Assistant Manager (HRT and Payroll) – Human Capital Advisory Team
- Work in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements and frequent interaction with onshore engagement teams and clients.
- Assist clients with HR Transformation and Payroll initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Support the business in achieving objectives through effective collaboration and delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support HR process redesign and process improvement initiatives.
- Improve overall HR operational efficiency through various interventions, including technology (e.g., interview guide, work activity analysis, synthesis of information, reporting).
- Conduct HR benchmarking and research activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in stakeholder analysis, job impact assessment, communication planning, and change measurement (e.g., change readiness surveys, business readiness), along with experience in culture and change diagnostics.
- Demonstrate proficiency in HR organization design analysis and process design using ARIS or Visio.
- Exhibit understanding of various survey tools, including Qualtrics.
- Prepare proposals by determining concepts, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.
- Determine proposal concepts by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposals (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings.
- Conduct HR technology vendor assessments and provide Project Management Office (PMO) support.
- Drive communications with onshore stakeholders using different media (emails, calls, video conferences) to ensure there are no gaps.
- Take complete ownership of standalone deliverables and manage client relationships that significantly contribute to overall project success.
- Support capability building and demand generation, and identify areas where KPMG Global Services (KGS) can provide support to other member firms.
- Participate in payroll transformation projects involving optimization, strategy, organizational design, sourcing, selection, and implementation support.
- Work with client stakeholders to document baseline current-state payroll service delivery operations.
- Execute day-to-day activities of payroll advisory engagements, including process design, implementation lifecycle support, and project reviews.
- Review business processes, systems, and outsourcing arrangements, and advise clients throughout the payroll transformation lifecycle.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, ARIS, Qualtrics, OrgVue, and survey tools.
- Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to create macros using VBA.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to quickly establish rapport with colleagues and clients.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or an MBA from an accredited institution.
- 8–10 years of experience in HR and Payroll Transformation
