Assistant Manager M&A
Roles & responsibilities
·The Tax Assistant Manager is responsible for reviewing trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns, preparing complex tax returns; and assisting in reporting and MIS activities. ·Review of Dealbook 2.0, including taking first pass at issue flagging for Management meeting. ·Obtain and analyze information; Prep of modeling / calculations (382, E&P, stock basis, 338(h)(10), step-up) ·Support Service implementations from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects). ·Supervise and train staff and New Joiners on tax projects and take Management meeting notes. ·Combining TDD reports (member firms, SALT, ITS, TP) ·Structure deck creation (first pass) and conduct Quality Reviews of returns prepared by staff. ·Proactively interact with key client engagement team to gather information and resolve tax-related problems ·Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives. ·Perform other job-related duties as necessaryThis role is for you if you have the below
Experience & Qualifications:
·Minimum Masters Degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting or Finance ·Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, preferably in Big 4 consulting firm ·Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance. ·Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel). ·Broad exposure to Federal income taxation and knowledge of tax regulations.Key behavioral attributes/requirements
·Willing to work hard, enthusiastic and self-motivated. ·Strong analytical and advisory skills. ·Good communication and interpersonal skills. ·Able to work in fast moving and demanding environment. ·Strong commitment, multi-tasking and team player. ·Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (including strong presentation skills). ·Highly proficient in MS Office (especially in excel, word and power point). ·Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. ·Strong training, and mentoring skills. ·Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment ·Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude. ·Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines. ·Strong organizational skill and attention to detail.
