Associate 1- Emerald IDT

The position in discussion is with the India GST practice at KPMG Global Services (KGS). The person would be working closely with KPMG India and would be serving global clients on India GST Compliance. This role is an integral part of the firm’s strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability, globally. 

Must Have: 

• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, theories, and techniques in conducting activities supporting the development, monitoring and maintenance of ledger accounts. 
• Must be proficient in excel, good to have knowledge of SAP and good in data management. 
• Understanding of GST, VAT 
• Should be well versed with GST provisions and accounting standard.
• Good Communication skills oral / written.

• People management skills with demonstrated ability to build a transparent and cohesive team.

Qualifications

Master's degree in accounting / finance or proven equivalent professional experience 

• Ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimum supervision. 
• Advanced understanding of broad accounting/finance fundamentals 
• Strong organizational analytical communication and problem-solving skills 
• Refined communication skills e.g., verbal written interpersonal and presentation 
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position. 
• Prior experience in Singapore / APJ Indirect Taxation
