Scrum Master - Agile Project Lead

Associate Director

KPMG Delivery Network (KDN) is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join its AI Foundry. You will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting agile teams, ensuring efficient and effective execution of AI projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

1.Team Engagement/ Project Execution:•Conduct and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and other agile events.•Identify and proactively address any roadblocks that hinder team's progress. Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth execution.•Mentor/ coach the team on agile principles and practices. Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members to drive high performance.•Monitor sprint progress, identify potential risks, and report on key metrics to stakeholders.2.Product/ Project Roadmap & Lifecycle:•Collaborate with Product Manager/ Product Owners to define, refine, and manage the product development roadmap & lifecycle.•Help prioritize product features based on business impact, risk, and dependencies.•Participate in release planning activities, ensuring alignment with product roadmap and business objectives.3.Continuous Improvement:•Continuously assess and improve team’s processes and practices. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance team’s effectiveness.•Stay abreast of the latest Agile methodologies, tools, and best practices.•Participate in training, workshops, and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills in team management and agile methodologies.4.Reporting & Communication:•Establish effective reporting & status updates for both internal & executive stakeholders.•Foster open and transparent communication within the team and with stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus. 

Work Experience

•12+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment, preferably within an AI/ML or software development context.•Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and other frameworks.•Experience working with cross-functional teams, preferably in a global or multi-disciplinary environment.•Understanding of AI/ML technologies, including Gen AI, Deep Learning, Neural Networks is a plus.•Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, PSM) are a plus. 

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and senior stakeholders.•Excellent facilitation and coaching skills.•Proven ability to identify improvement opportunities and ability to promote continuous improvement culture.•Proficiency in Scrum/ Agile development methodologies and experience in leading Agile product teams.•Proficiency in using project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar).
