Job Description – Business Analyst (Payments Domain)

Key Responsibilities

• Be part of the functional team in the Payments Factory , understanding existing bank processes related to payments within the bank’s payment ecosystem.

• Understand different payment flows and translate them into functional requirements in the form of Agile epics and user stories .

• Understand operations, middle office, and back-office workflows , and convert these flows into functional requirements and user stories .

• Write clear and concise acceptance criteria and supporting details for each user story, enabling the development team to deliver the functionality with clear outcomes.

• Liaise with the bank’s Technology, Business, and Operations teams to understand the existing functional flow and communicate the same effectively to the engineering and development teams .

• Coordinate with regulatory and control teams to explain product functionality and address queries to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Maintain the functional backlog and conduct regular backlog grooming sessions with stakeholders to refine user stories and prioritize development tasks.

• Prepare functional test cases , execute them, and capture results with proper documentation and supporting evidence.

• Perform Development Testing and UAT testing for delivered features and maintain documentation for the same.
