Role Overview

  • Apply mechanical engineering expertise in a cutting‑edge environment while working with a collaborative, innovative cross‑functional team.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering Planning, Design, Validation, HR, and other business teams to manage workload and ensure high‑quality project delivery.
  • Lead and manage the Brake, Transmission, and Suspension team, ensuring performance, development, and adherence to engineering processes.
  • Contribute to resolving multi‑domain technical challenges and ensure compliance with internal standards and instructions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive a clear team vision; ensure effective planning, task organisation, workload balancing, budget oversight, and deliverable monitoring.
  • Develop and sustain team competencies through structured technical development and training programs.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of technical documentation required for R&D and project execution.
  • Provide technical direction to PrEM and Design teams, including guidance on calculations, material selection, and test strategies.
  • Lead, drive, and validate all design review activities.
  • Prepare and deliver high‑quality technical and financial responses during tender phases.
  • Offer expert technical support on bogie‑related engineering issues across development stages, failure investigations, customer discussions, and supplier engagements.
  • Ensure product definition quality, technical consistency, and lifecycle continuity from tender through warranty closure.
  • Contribute to product improvement initiatives and support the adoption of new technologies aligned with long‑term strategic goals.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and assess their potential integration into future bogie solutions.

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, with strong exposure to structural systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design, engineering calculations, special processes, and bogie architecture.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering, materials, and project management (quality, cost, timelines), including interface management.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilient, highly organized, and customer‑focused.
  • Proven conflict management and resolution abilities.
