Job purpose
A senior should be able to lead teams of Analysts and Advanced analysts and be responsible for client service delivery for a particular geography, area or specialization. Reporting in to a Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager, they will assist the management team in  developing and coaching team members as well as ensuring that resources are deployed effectively

Client responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust and partnership returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues
  • Drive the tax return production process, review complex tax returns and other tax deliverables
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleagues
  • Explore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to EY by consistently providing high quality work
  • Supervise day to day operations and engagement milestones with little or no manager involvement
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in developing the highest performing teams
  • Help Senior Managers and Managers with advisory and ad-hoc projects
  • Develop engagement and financial management skills by managing own and/or other’s impact on project economics,including controlling costs, monitoring budget to actual differences
  • Contribute process improvement ideas leading to higher quality service delivery to the client or greater efficiency in the compliance process
  • Identify opportunities to leverage information and resources across assignments and teams

Qualifications

Technical skills requirements

  • Preferable with Certified EA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust and partnership returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues

 

Additional skills requirements

  • Effective communicate skills by being articulate, thoughtful and adapting communications to target audiences; interacting effectively in person, by phone and in writing
  • Good analytical, numeric and people management skills
