Business Analyst
In Data Management Services we will provide a new range of solutions that will allow customers to outsource their data management activities to LSEG, enabling them to focus on uncovering hidden insights in the data and making informed decisions that drive growth & innovation with high quality data. This role will play a meaningful and exciting part in the development of this new business area!
As a business analyst you support the delivery of new products and features by gathering and analysing business requirements, providing documentation and specifications to support feature delivery and acting as a liaison point between the product and engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Lead fact finding work in support of technology product development
- Act as liaison between the development and internal groups for development of features and products
- Handle risks, dependencies, issues, drives mitigation and ensure high priority items are raised for decision making
- Prepare communications to internal customers regarding new and improved features
- Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
- Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
Work
- Complete feature specification documents collaborating with the product management team
- Provide inputs to solution designs based on business requirements and constraints
- Collecting and analysing data and information to support and inform business decisions
- facilitating communication between partners, product and engineering teams
Skills and experience
- Experience with the Financial Services industry and with financial data sets. Desirable skills/experience with Azure Dev Ops, Data Virtualisation tools, SQL, Microsoft Fabric
- Collaboration and interpersonal skills with multi-functional teams from technology, business, and end users
- Experience in participating or facilitating agile ceremonies, handling a backlog/release plan, supervising team level metrics, removing blockers
- Experience in solving business problems, generating solutions and identifying best solutions given constraints
- Ability to work with others to reach agreements, create outcomes, and influence the actions, behaviours and opinions of others
- Ability to use collaboration tools effectively as a communication channel
