Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud/ GCP Dev ops engineer to join our EWT Source team responsible for managing and maintaining our applications hosted in GCP/Atlassian cloud. As an administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of Cloud Infrastructure and applications built on the same. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions to meet the business requirements and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

As an Dev Ops engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Worked as GCP DevOps Infrastructure Engineer.
• Manage and monitor GCP resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and other platform services. 
• Implement and maintain Azure Active Directory (AD) services, identity and access management, and role-based access control policies.
• Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and data restoration processes for critical applications and databases in Atlassian cloud / GCP/ Github.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and recommend necessary optimizations for cost efficiency and performance improvements.
• Terraform scripting for provisioning GCP cloud environments and use terraform modules for reusability and efficiency.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Lead the setup and configuration of Atlassian Cloud at every level, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Manage user permissions, configurations, workflows, and customizations within the Atlassian suite to support project requirements.
• Become an SME in cloud delivery of Source tools, including to Jira, confluence
• Stay up to date with Atlassian/GCP/Azure updates, new features, and industry best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Essential skills and experience

• A minimum of 5-8 years of work experience 
• Extensive experience in administration of Atlassian toolsets (Jira, Confluence) including comprehensive setup and management at various levels. Proven expertise with a track record of managing complex projects and environments.
• Good experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or Google cloud platform (GCP) in a similar cloud administration role. 
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Python, YML/JSON) for automation and orchestration tasks.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools to analyze cloud performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent communication and presentation (written and verbal) skills, including in front of senior groups and large teams.
• Determination and personal effectiveness, to tackle challenges and manage deadlines.
• Atlassian certification ACP-120.
• Familiarity with GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD processes.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
• Experience working with software installation/upgrading procedures. 
• Experience working with file and system maintenance procedures.
• Experience as an application systems administrator, general system administration experience

QUALIFICATION

• Graduate Degree from a Tier 1 / Tier 2 institute.
• Knowledge of advanced ITIL or similar IT best practice methodology
