AWS Core Services & Omnissa VDI Architect Bangalore Full Time Department: Cloud Infrastructure / End-User Computing Job Summary:We are seeking a seasoned AWS Core Services and Omnissa VDI Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable and secure virtual desktop solutions in the AWS cloud. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience with AWS infrastructure, Omnissa Horizon Cloud, and modern EUC (End User Computing) architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, cloud-native VDI environments tailored to enterprise needs.Key Responsibilities:Architect and implement Omnissa Horizon Cloud on AWS or hybrid VDI solutions.Design scalable AWS infrastructure leveraging services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, FSx, CloudWatch, and Auto Scaling.Integrate and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services within AWS.Define and implement zero trust network and conditional access strategies for VDI workloads.Support image management, app layering, and user profile management with tools like App Volumes, DEM, or FSLogix.Optimize cost, performance, and availability of VDI deployments.Automate infrastructure and VDI lifecycle using CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with organizational policies.Act as a technical escalation point for VDI performance, connectivity, and user experience issues.Document architecture, SOPs, runbooks, and design decisions for operations and handover.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.10+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with 3+ years in cloud architecture and AWS services.Strong hands-on experience with Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon) deployments on AWS or hybrid environments.Proficiency in AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect) and security (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty).Expertise in Windows-based EUC solutions, user persona management, and desktop image optimization.Familiarity with VDI monitoring tools, such as ControlUp, Lakeside SysTrack, or Omnissa DEX. Experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting for automation.Preferred Qualifications:AWS certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.VMware certifications: VCP-DTM / VCAP-DTM, or equivalent.Experience with Omnissa DEX (Digital Employee Experience) and performance telemetry.Knowledge of Okta, Azure AD, or other IdPs for federated identity in VDI environments.Experience integrating with ServiceNow, Splunk, or Power BI for EUC analytics.Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and documentation abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a global team. To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases (5.)
