Consulting Technical Manager (Hyperion Architect)

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

  1. 15+ years of experience in Hyperion deployments, OCI migrations, and upgrades.
  2. Extensive experience in analysis, design, implementation, and support of Hyperion Suite 11.x applications.
  3. Lead architecture design for large-scale, multi-node, highly available Hyperion platform deployments.
  4. Architect distributed, load-balanced, enterprise-grade production environments.
  5. Define enterprise standards for platform topology, scalability, security, and operational resilience.
  6. Architect and drive cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift and hybrid EPM deployments).
  7. Lead and execute migration, upgrade, and transformation initiatives across complex enterprise ecosystems.
  8. Lead and execute DRM migration strategies, including hierarchy governance and metadata lifecycle management.
  9. Provide technical leadership across implementation, upgrade, and transformation programs.
  10. Establish environment governance, release management frameworks, and production cutover strategies.
  11. Strong expertise in performance optimization, DR testing, and platform lifecycle management.
  12. Working knowledge of Oracle Database administration.
  13. OCI Foundation Certification and basic OCI administration exposure preferred.
  14. Experience in system monitoring, capacity planning, and service optimization.
  15. Collaborate with infrastructure, database, network, and security teams to align platform architecture with enterprise standards.
  16. Hands-on experience in architecture, installation, and configuration of Hyperion Suite 11.1.2.x and 11.2.x on Linux and Windows.
  17. Design and manage Disaster Recovery architecture including DR drills, failover validation, and business continuity planning.
  18. Lead and execute environment refreshes, replication, and multi-region instance cloning strategies.
  19. Define backup, recovery, and data protection standards for mission-critical deployments.
  20. Deep experience across Essbase, Planning, FDMEE, DRM, ODI, Financial Reporting, and Web Analysis.
  21. Provide architectural oversight for performance tuning, integration design, and system optimization.
  22. Troubleshoot complex installation, infrastructure, and integration challenges across the full Hyperion stack.
  23. Direct EPM lifecycle activities including patching strategy, testing governance, and release validation.

Leadership & Behavioural Expectations:

  1. Ability to lead customer discussions, architecture workshops, and technical governance forums.
  2. Strong stakeholder management skills across business, IT, and executive leadership.
  3. Experience managing global customers across multiple time zones.
  4. Ability to drive critical production incidents, escalations, and executive communications.
  5. Comfortable working in a 24x7 engagement model for enterprise programs where required.
  6. Strong ownership mindset with accountability for end-to-end platform stability.
  7. Ability to mentor junior team members and provide architectural guidance.
  8. Experience working in highly regulated or mission-critical environments.
  9. Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  10. Open to travel based on program needs.
