Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to ensure that the solutions you deliver are scalable and high-performing, contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME.
- Collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Continuously assess and improve team processes to increase efficiency.
- Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain technical solutions within the PeopleSoft HCM framework.
- Customize and enhance components using Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interface, Application Packages, and SQL.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand and address requirements.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and data retrieval.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the performance of existing systems.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, system integration testing, and deployment activities.
- Develop and maintain BI Publisher (BIP) reports. Ensure adherence to documentation and version control procedures.
- Required Skills and Experience: Payroll Knowledge: Basic understanding of payroll processes, including taxes, earnings, deductions, and insurances.
- PeopleSoft Technical Skills: Proficiency in PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface (CI), and Component structure.


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) Global Payroll.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
- Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with database management and data integration techniques.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) Global Payroll.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
