Summary: We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Apache JMeter. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive performance tests. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and QA teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure that our applications meet high standards of reliability and responsiveness under various load conditions. Roles & Responsibilities: - • Performance Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance testing objectives, acceptance criteria, and comprehensive strategies. • Scripting and Development: Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts using Apache JMeter for web applications, APIs (REST/SOAP), and other services. • Test Execution: Execute various types of performance tests, including load, stress, scalability, and endurance tests, to measure system behavior under different conditions. • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test results to identify performance issues, bottlenecks (e.g., CPU, memory, database), and system failures. Generate detailed reports for technical and non-technical audiences. • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes of performance issues and recommend optimization strategies. • Integration: Integrate performance tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins to support continuous performance validation. • Monitoring: Utilize monitoring and profiling tools (e.g., Grafana, AppDynamics, Dynatrace) to gather metrics and correlate system performance with infrastructure metrics. • Environment Management: Configure and maintain realistic test environments that simulate production conditions. Required skills and qualifications • Proven hands-on experience as a Performance Test Engineer with specific expertise in Apache JMeter. • Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) , experience of working in Agile teams is preferred • Expertise in scripting languages, such as Groovy, Python, or Java, for enhancing and customizing test scripts. • Solid knowledge of web protocols (HTTP, HTTPS), web technologies, and database performance. • Experience with application performance monitoring (APM) tools. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to diagnose complex issues. • Strong communication and collaborative abilities to work effectively with development and QA teams. • Knowledge in Retail and Stores Operations is a good to have knowledge . Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Apache JMeter. - Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices. - Experience with test automation frameworks and tools. - Ability to analyze and interpret performance test results. - Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment processes. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Apache JMeter. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
