Cyber Security Product Manager

As the Product Manager of PayPal Cyber and Information security, you will be part of a newly formed team focused to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.

As a key member of our product team, you will collaborate with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to develop and enhance IAM capabilities that improve user experience, strengthen security, and support business growth.

• You will work directly with one or more of our Cyber security engineering leaders, partnering closely with our internal customers - PayPal developers and other cross-functional teams - to lead delivery of new features and experiences.

Your way to impact -

• Develop and manage the PayPal’s IAM strategy aligned with business goals and compliance requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships for key product/service providers and provide technical leadership for IAM initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
• Define the overall vision for the IAM product, aligning it with business goals and security requirements. 
• Analyze market landscape and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product differentiation. 

Your day to day -

• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a solutions to enhance our organization's identity and access management (IAM) strategy.
• Dive deep into the technical details, working with engineering teams to designs frameworks, integration tools and documentation that enables deployment and adoption.
• Manage vendor relationships for key product/service providers and provide technical leadership for IAM initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the technical feasibility and scalability of IAM solutions while continuously assessing and improving IAM policies and standards.
• Build and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps that align with organizational goals and market demands, ensuring timely delivery of IAM products and services.
• Carry out buy vs buy assessments to determine the most suitable product for achieving business goals, while continually identifying opportunities for tool consolidation. 
• Coordinate with security architects and engineers to design and implement security controls for web applications, APIs, and related systems. 

What do you need to bring-

• 8+ years of Product Management experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or related security solutions.
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), access control models (e.g., RBAC, ABAC, Zero Trust), and general security frameworks.
• Experience with security platforms such as identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, threat detection, or security operations solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices across major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of security automation, AI/ML applications in cybersecurity, and threat intelligence.
• Understanding of modern security architectures, including Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, and risk-based security models.
