Data Scientist – Generative AI, Agentic AI, NLP, Deep Learning & AWS Expert

Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a Data Scientist specialized in Generative AI and Agentic AI to lead and independently manage end-to-end AI and data science projects. This role will focus on applying advanced AI techniques including NLP, computer vision, deep learning, and predictive modeling to develop scalable, reliable AI solutions that deliver measurable business value. The Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies, driving innovation and supporting organization-wide AI adoption aligned with business objectives.

Software Requirements

• Required:

  • Programming languages: Python, R, Spark, Teradata SQL, SAS (proficient level)

  • Big Data Platforms: Hadoop/HDFS, Omnia, Hive, Spark (hands-on experience)

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS (experience deploying AI/ML models)

  • Agentic frameworks: LangGraph, Pydantic AI, Google ADK (practical experience)

  • Version control and collaboration: GitHub

  • AI/ML tools: H2O.ai

• Preferred:

  • Experience with open-source Generative AI models, GPT frameworks, and technologies related to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

  • Familiarity with guardrails for AI fairness and privacy

  • Additional ML engineering tools and methodologies

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead AI and data science projects from data collection to model deployment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

• Utilize Generative AI, NLP, Deep Learning, and advanced statistical models to build accurate and scalable solutions

• Engage business and technical stakeholders to identify problems, formulate AI solutions, and deliver value-driven outcomes

• Communicate complex data findings to non-technical audiences, translating insights into actionable business initiatives

• Develop and deploy production-grade AI and machine learning models across cloud and on-premise environments

• Foster AI adoption across the organization through collaboration, mentoring, and evangelism

• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and industry trends to continuously improve methodologies

• Drive innovation by experimenting with new approaches to data analysis and AI/ML modeling

• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and cross-disciplinary teams in an Agile environment

• Contribute to strategic planning of AI and data science initiatives within Synechron

Experience Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of professional experience in data science or AI, focused on end-to-end project delivery

• Demonstrated expertise in agentic AI frameworks and Generative AI applications

• Experience deploying AI/ML models on cloud platforms, particularly AWS

• Preferably worked in retail banking, financial services, or related industries

• Experience in risk or audit domains beneficial but not required

• Alternative pathways include strong AI project leadership and hands-on AI engineering in related fields

Day-to-Day Activities

• Independently leading and managing AI/data science projects

• Designing, developing, and deploying AI models and solutions

• Collaborating with business units and technical teams on problem-solving and solution implementation

• Presenting findings and AI-driven recommendations to stakeholders with clarity and impact

• Participating in regular Agile ceremonies and sprint planning

• Continuously researching and integrating emerging AI technologies into solutions

• Driving organizational adoption of AI through training, collaboration, and mentorship

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

• Relevant certifications in AI, data science, or cloud computing are advantageous

• Commitment to continuous professional learning and staying current with AI advances
