Database Administrator (PostgreSQL/Oracle)

DBA (PostgreSQL/Oracle) in AWS

Location: Bangalore

Work type : Hybrid (3 days a week)

(Shift - 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM IST / 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM IST)

Required Experience : 5 Years

Required Skills:
Proven experience as a DBA, with specific expertise in either PostgreSQL or Oracle database administration.
Strong understanding of database concepts, including relational database models, SQL, and database architecture.
Hands-on experience with database administration tools and utilities.
Proficiency in performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery planning.
Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance requirements.
Experience working within the AWS cloud environment, specifically with RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and IAM.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Skills:
AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Experience with other AWS services relevant to database administration.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with database automation and scripting.
Experience with both PostgreSQL and Oracle (even if specializing in one).
